ALBUM SUMMARY

On his debut EP album “Relentless Love”, Joe Steven delivers with his contemporary alternative style that resonates in the mainstream arena without sacrificing its sense of musical adventure and direction.

Songs like “Meant to Be” shine with its epic Journey-like rhythm and electric guitar solo that could very well be a love song, or an inspirational cry to a higher power. “With Me” and “Best Day of My Life” gravitate towards the acoustic arena rock-ballad side, that both strike at the heart with passionate lyrics and melodic phrases filled with sweeping strings and atmospheric dream-like keyboards.

Joe Steven’s smooth, yet dynamic vocals in “You and I” focuses in on something more than a love song, but an anthem for human connection and affinity. “Higher”, the EP’s finale track progresses to a transcendent hook with a chorus that will elevate your soul to inspiring heights.

ABOUT

JOE

At age 8, Joe Steven encountered a Baldwin piano his father had purchased. Captivated by the piano’s natural beauty and sound, this experience served as the inspiration and expansion to Joe’s musical horizon.

By the age of 12, Joe Steven had not only self-taught himself how to play the piano and read sheet music, but was now writing original music and practicing a skill set that would ultimately lead to the formation of his debut Alternative EP Album, “Relentless Love.”

Joe Steven eventually took the love for his music outside of his parent’s home and into the public spaces of his middle and high schools, local coffee shops and city auditoriums. Over those years, he had been a part of several rock bands for which he wrote and composed original content, as well as singing with the Men’s Chorus at the University of North Texas and was named principal trumpet for the South Texas Youth Symphony. Joe Steven’s boundless passion and pursuit for music allowed him to compose, arrange and direct music for an entire symphony orchestra in addition to self-learning how to play the guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, french horn and percussion instruments.

“Music has always been a significant part of my life. The moment I decided to build a future with my music was when God spoke to me about creating music that would provide hope and lead a generation to him and inspire millions of people from around the world. I truly believe in my heart this is my purpose in life,” says Joe Steven.

Originally from the industry itself having served as a Grammy U® Ambassador during his collegiate days, Joe Steven’s Relentless Love-EP rests on a solid foundation of fundamentals and impeccable production value. What sets him apart from the rest, however, is how easily his music transcends the industry with its sense of musical originality and direction.

“The central theme of this EP Album is about how unconditional love never seizes or grows weary. Love knows no limits and has the sole capability to drive transformation and enrich the lives of others,” Joe Steven said. Songs like “Meant to Be” are epic, yet somehow intimate. Indicative of the 80s and 90s pop songs Joe Steven grew up with, “Meant to Be” shines with its Journey-like rhythm and electric guitar solo that could very well be a love song, or an inspirational cry to a higher power.

In keeping with intimacy and relationships, Relentless Love-EP is courageously vulnerable in a time when real emotion is not something you always hear in a 3-minute pop song. “With Me” and “Best Day of My Life” both strike at the heart of journeying through life with someone special. “I want my music to instill and drive greatness in people’s lives and above all to create a movement where people are able to encourage each other, be there for each other and serve the greatest truth the world has ever known,” says Joe Steven.

And to prove just how deeper these songs go than the normal fare, Joe Steven rounds out Relentless Love with “You and I” and the EP’s finale track “Higher”. The Texas-native singer-songwriter’s smooth, yet dynamic vocals in “You and I” focuses in on something more than a love song, but an anthem for human connection. The song “Higher”, which is the finale track on the EP Album, starts with a grand piano and then progresses to a transcendent hook with a chorus that elevates your soul to inspiring heights.

“Our hope is placed on the things we do not see, but rather feel and believe will come into existence. I look at this the same way with music. Although you may not be able to see the beautiful melodic melodies or dynamics, you can feel the music travel directly to your heart and soul. Each day we live is a new song. It serves as the anthem and endless symphony that plays the soundtrack to the time of what we call, life.”

Joe Steven seeks to inspire people from all around the world so they can associate themselves with the message of hope, which essentially is the anthem of his music. His style is not merely alternative rock, power ballads, or an acoustic singer/songwriter vibe, but rather a mixture of all the above mixed with lush emotive lyrics and sweeping strings that transports the listener to Joe Steven’s worldview of a love that’s ever so relentless.
